Today students finished their metric conversions and we went over those. Students also practiced measuring liquids to prepare them for the lab tomorrow.

Today students set up a page for lab partners in the future. We also continued working on metric conversions.
Today we added to charts to the Science notebook on page 9.
On page 10 students wrote the following and practiced converting units.How to change from one metric unit to another:
Today students learned a little about matter and its definition. Then students used quadruple beam balances to find the mass of different items in grams.
Today students updated their sunrise/sunset data. Students also took a few notes on metric units and did a length measurement lab; measuring in centimeters.
Today students updated the sunrise/sunset data table. Next, students shared one thing about them and last students worked on their Science safety poster. Science safety contracts were due today. If you didn't turn yours in and need another one it is attached below.

Today students updated their sunrise/sunset data. Next we did a tour around the classroom to find out where things are located. Then each class decided on expectations for their class. Last, we discussed Lab safety and watched a video on lab safety. *Reminder: Open House tomorrow from 6-7:30 PM.*
Today students set up their Science notebook and set up a data table to track the sunrise and sunset for most of September. We are going to see when the actual equinox takes place based on our data.
