Today students read over the timeline for the atom in the textbook. Next, students made a model of the atom. Last, students answered questions about the atom and its structure.
Today students took notes on the atom. The notes are attached below.
Today students did a Phet simulation on how to build an atom. The website we used is listed below. I am also adding the document that had the questions students answered using the simulation. https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/build-an-atom
Today students typed their lab report for the conservation of mass lab. Today is the last day to work on this during class.
Today students finished gathering any data they needed for the Conservation of mass lab. After that, students worked on typing their lab report.
Today students continued collecting data for the conservation of mass lab.
Today students learned about the law of conservation of mass and began a lab to test whether mass is conserved in different physical and chemical changes.
Today students learned more about gases and how they behave. Then, students did the can crusher lab. Watch the video below to see what happened (this is done by someone else). I am attaching the pages in the book that discuss what students learned today.
Today students added the changes of state diagram to their science notebooks on the top of P. 36. Next, students read pages 48-53 in the textbook and wrote down the bold sentences. Last, students did the Math- Analyzing data on p. 52 in the textbook on P. 37 in their science notebook. The pages from the textbook are attached as well as the diagram and notes for the changes of state. I also attached a graph to help with the Math-Analyzing data.
